I’ve had a great career in broadcast television, and now self-employed as a Director of Photography/Editor.
It’s always been my mantra that I want to be remembered not for what I “did” (traveled the world, won awards, met interesting and sometimes famous people), but for who I “was” (friend/parent/partner/co-worker/person). I used to be offended that people only asked about my job. Really? That’s the most interesting thing about me?
Now as I transition into a new and very entrepreneurial lifestyle my fantasies are always about what I “do”.
However, I fear that with that kind of focus I’ll forget who I am. I don’t think doing and being are mutually exclusive,
but a welcome challenge!

I have found Michael Gerber again after being exposed to his business mind more than thirty years ago. I was then a young man working for a company named Tuff Terrain run by an off road racer named Sherman Balch. Mr. Balch took me to Michael Gerber talks and I have as much need now for his wisdom as I did back then. (will read some current material)

You hit it dead on! Quick Story- Last night- Salt Lake City, UT- NAWBO Pres, Chamber WIB Pres, and Prominent Business coach in Salt Lake City met last night to preview film titled “Miss Representation”… Heard of it? We diescussed the highly successful, yet sometime illusive female entrepreneur, the woman in the workforce, the women in politics and the women in media. We sat dumbfounded, why don’t more women succeed, and not just get by, I mean full-out- playing hardball, Hit the TOP. Fantastic description… And after reading this article, the whole concept makes so much more sense. Thank You!
